A combination of eye-catching, colorful patterns (in the women's dresses), luxurious metallic gold ink and shadow play create a Polynesian wonderland and a compelling Art Deco image. Etbauer is best remembered for the travel posters he designed for the Hamburg America Line in the 1930s featuring their zeppelins and ocean liners. The Resolute sailed for the company from 1926 until 1935.
