PEAK, BOB (1927-1992) Al Unser. Collage; 30 x 40 inches. Illustration for an unidentified magazine. Signed "B Peak" by blue profile on right. Provenance: Bob Crozier estate. Unframed. Robert M. Peak, the son of a film poster designer, is best remembered for his posters for West Side Story (1961), My Fair Lady (1964), Camelot (1967), Apocalypse Now (1979) and many other productions. At one time he was among the most desirable poster artists in Hollywood. He also contributed frequently to magazines and advertising campaigns, and designed the US postage stamps for the 1983 and 1984 Olympics. Four time Indianapolis 500 winner Al Unser (1939-2021) was one of the most famous of modern racing car drivers. Area's of the collage have begun to twist, or come away from board. Evidence of previous water damage is also present. Nd, 1970s
