The first drawing, on a postcard to Jean Anderson, showing a woman holding a rake in a pile of leaves. 5 1/2x3 1/4 inches; remnants of prior mounting overall verso. The last two drawings, each signed "WPeirce" in the return address at upper left of an envelope, one showing a Pony Express rider in the desert, the other showing a sea lion wearing Christmas wreath. 3 1/2x6 1/2 or 4x9 1/2 inches; closed tear through signature of one, each with postage or ink stamp at upper right (one not affecting drawing). The letters, to Mrs. John Philips or Mr. and Mrs. John Ekwall, concerning the divorce of a mutual friend or life in New York City. Together 3 pages, 8vo, personal stationery, one written on recto and verso of a single sheet. With the original envelopes, one of the drawings in this lot on each.
