number 19 of only 50 deluxe copies for patrons signed by moser with the extra signed suite, and with an original signed drawing, in green ink, of a wooden rattle, a signed pencil drawing of the unicorn, and another signed rough pencil sketch of the knight's torso. In addition, Moser has inscribed and signed this copy to a friend and added an original green ink sketch of a printer's rattle. "There is greater cohesion in `Looking-Glass' than in `Alice.' I have never been able to understand why the critics called the pictures `dark.' I intended them to be whimsical and humorous displaying a kind of calculated pandemonium"--Moser, in The Pennyroyal Checklist, 1986.
