Graphic designer and marketing consultant Peter Marti took the notion that "sex sells" to heart in his provocative poster campaign for Rifle jeans from 1987-1990. Featuring black and white and color photos by Swiss fashion photographer Bruno Bisang, the series depicts scantily-clad (often only in denim) women and men in sensual poses with each other. He certainly accomplished one of the main goals of commercial advertising - to get people talking. In 1982, Marti was elected Advertiser of the Year by the Swiss newspaper Werbewoche and is now an owner and CEO of his own communications company; he writes textbooks and gives lectures on the topic.
