PETER STACKPOLE (1913-1997) A suite of five photographs documenting the construction of the Bay Bridge in San Francisco. 1935-36; printed before 1987. Silver prints, the images measuring 7x9¾ inches (17.8x24.8 cm.), and slightly smaller, and the reverse, the mounts 13¼x15 inches (33.7x38.1 cm.), each with Stackpole's signature and negative date in pencil on mount recto, and the title, shooting notations, negative date, and the artist's credit in pencil, on mount verso.
The prints are accompanied by a typed letter dated November 11, 1987 from Stackpole addressed to Rolf Fricke from the Marketing Communications Department at Eastman Kodak Company, Rochester, NY and enclosed in the original envelope.
