A photographic advertisement for the Giovanni Gilardini shops' latest developments in fur packaging & fur coats for men. Founded by Antonio Gilardini in the 1820s as a company for the production of umbrellas, in the 30s, their factory started making shoes and other leather goods. The store's main branches were based in Turin, with outposts in Milan, Florence, Rome, Naples and Palermo. Riccardo Bettini came from a family of chemists and photographers, and was close with the royal family and aristocracy. He took countless images of actors and actresses for postcards, and in 1924, he founded the "Società Anonima Ritratto Bettini" to preserve his historical archive consisting of over 80,000 negatives.
