Adam was a co-founder of "Le Rectangle," the first association of illustration and advertising photographers in France. They were inspired by American photographer Edward Weston and the group f/64, which comprised seven San Francisco photographers including Weston, Ansel Adams and Imogen Cunningham. This photographic poster invites the public to the "Fêtes de Nuit," which were evening galas organized by the zoo at the Bois de Vincennes (the largest public park in Paris) in the mid-1930s.
