Pierre Alechinsky (born 1927) studied with Hayter at Atelier 17 in the early 1950s and had his first solo exhibition in Paris in 1954. He is frequently associated with the COBRA school of abstract painting predominantly from northern Europe. This portfolio records Alechinsky's experiences at Atelier 17 and is a fitting homage to Hayter's re-establishment of the studio in Paris after 1950. Rivière 85-95.
