Matter worked for two European ski resorts through his career as a poster designer; his native Engleberg and Pontresina. This collage is also most certainly a study for a poster promoting the summer season. The child playing in the foreground is dwarfed by the open landscape in the background. The contrast is sharp, as usual, and the slightly twisted typography is typical of Matter.
