POSTAL COVERS AND SONG SHEETS. Group of 20 Civil War song sheets. Average size 8 x 5 inches, with large hand-colored vignette engravings above lyrics for various patriotic songs, condition generally very good. should be seen. Vp, circa 1861-1865

Additional Details

A good, representative group of Civil War song sheets, with finely engraved illustrations. Some, like "Victory at Last," showing Richmond with the Stars and Stripes waving from atop the Rebel capital, are clearly patriotic. Others, like "Was My Brother in the Battle?" or "Who Will Care for Mother Now?" are deeply sentimental.
