Title in red and black. 8vo, original dark brown boards (first state of binding), lettered in gilt on front cover and spine (spine titling measuring 20mm in height), abrading to spine with light exposure to head and foot, corners bumped; bookplate to front pastedown, front hinge and gutter of pp. 32-33 stressed, semi-circular stain along top edge extending from gutters on about first 40 pages. First edition, first issue, without the adverts. 1000 sheets of Personae were printed, of which up to 500 were re-issued in 1913 as part of Personae & Exultations.
