Additional Details

Carter (1891-1955) taught alongside N.C. Wyeth and Harvey Dunn at the Grand Central Art School. His works appeared in all the major publications of the day, including Life, Ladies' Home Journal, and Woman's Home Companion throughout the 1930's and '40s. He was inducted into the Society of Illustrators Hall of Fame in 1988.
