PUCCINI, GIACOMO. Two Autograph Postcards Signed, "G. Puccini," each in Italian. The first, to Renzo Valcarenghi, complaining of being stuck for a day because of train problems. Written on the verso above a view of the summit of the Grand Perron des Encombres in Savoy: "From the extract of the expense account: Another day lost [Lire] 500. . . . (Nota bene to be paid in Francs). . . ." The second, to Secretary General of the Chamber of Deputies in Rome Commendatore Alberti, observing the great success of Manon [Lescaut] and sending his regards.
