Small octavo, a-d8, f8 (40 of 48 leaves, lacking signature e: eight leaves); title page printed within an arabesque woodcut border, illustrated throughout with seventy-eight (of ninety-four) woodcut illustrations after Bernard Salomon (1508?-1561) described in Fairfax Murray as "delicately executed"; (three leaves torn with loss to top blank margin); bound in later limp boards with modern blue suede spine, some ink annotations to first half of text, 6 1/4 x 4 1/2 in.
