The Diocese of Tlaxcala, founded in 1519 and officially named in 1525, is the oldest diocese in Mexico. It is located in the Puebla de los Angeles (Cuetlaxcoapan in the indigenous Nahuatl language) ecclesiastical province in eastern central Mexico.
