QUEER NATION
Group of Queer Nation/Chicago stickers. 9 unused stickers, various sizes but each 1540x105 mm; 5 1/2x4 1/4 inches or smaller; minimal wear. Chicago, 1991 and undated.
3 of the stickers are directed at Amnesty International for their failure to advocate for LGBTQ causes: "Being a lesbian in Pakistan could get you stoned . . . to death"; "Last year Iran celebrated the new year by executing some queers"; "26 of the 50 states still jail queers for being queer." One reads "Fuck You George Bush. Queer Nation," and another is a fluorescent sticker which was apparently meant for objectionable books: "Warning! Contents 100% active homohatred. Queer Nation/Chicago MCMXCI." 4 other stickers do not bear the Queer Nation name, but are apparently from the same period: "Boycott Marlboro"; "Dead Men Don't Wear Rubbers"; "Don't Queers Love Too?" and "Promote Homosexuality."
Also with two pinbacks from the 1993 March on Washington: "Don't Fuck Up! AIDS Does Not Discriminate!" issued by Queers with Attitude of Chicago; and "DC in 93."
