To promote a week-long Basque sports festival in France, the artist presents a fluid image of a pelotaico. In the style of Ludwig Hohlwein, the player is depicted without outlining, and the shadows delineate aspects of his attire and face. On some copies of the poster the blank space of the ball is filled in with the details of the event. The stylized typography evokes the Basque alphabet. Pyrenees p. 86.
