Henricksen worked for the Federal Ats Projects creating murals for institutions in Illinois and Michigan. Recognized as archetypes of the period, several of the these monumental works have been recently restored. Henricksen received his M.F.A. from the Institute Allende in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, where he was influenced by the work of Diego Rivera.
