Besides his De morbis artificum diatriba, the first systematic treatise on occupational diseases, "the Opera contains many of his medical lectures, his works on epidemiology related to outbreaks of lathyrism, malaria, and cattle plague. In addition, his observations on the weather and, more importantly, his treatise on the motion of mercury in barometers are in the volume, as is a work on preserving the health of princes, which was very popular in his day"--Heirs of Hippocrates 596.
