The map originally appeared in 1556, but the block was destroyed in a fire the following year. Re-engraved in 1565, the map is strikingly similar to the previous issue. This state of the map is easily recognizable by the title of the map being split between the right and left of the hemispheric projection and the pagination of 455 and 456. Burden 34.
