"Knowing of your love for the outdoors, especially the Calif. outdoors you'll understand why we are counting the days until we'll be at Rancho del Cielo in those Santa Ynez mountains. Of course it isn't the outdoors alone. There will be the horses and our dogs. We miss them very much.
". . . We hope by the time you read this Dai-Si-Ah will be recovering from surgery and will be once again happy and playful. Pat her on the head for us."
Bertha, Samueline and Joseph "Buzzy" Sisco were siblings with whom the Reagans corresponded between 1972 and 1987. The sisters first contacted Governor Reagan concerning their appeal for help caring for their mentally handicapped brother; the Governor helped them to find the relevant state programs and offered personal help on several occasions through the years.
