Brush and gray and black ink on cream wove paper, 1946. 572x793 mm; 22 1/2x31 1/4 inches. Signed and dated in ink, lower right recto. J. Whatman 1940 watermark. Ex-collection Lloyd Goodrich, former Director of the Whitney Museum of American Art.

Marsh made two related etchings, also showing Coney Island bathers involved in chicken fights, both titled Coney Island Beach (1932 and 1934, Sasowsky 136 and 153), as well as a more finished wash and watercolor drawing .
