Additional Details

"Thanks for the letter and the trust it shows. What should I advice [sic] you? It depends so much on your financial circumstances. If I were you, I would not wait but see a[n] experienced older psychoanalyst now. . . . If you tell him that I am sending you, he will charge you only $20. (Haven't you got a rich uncle whom you could kill and who leaves you $5,000?) . . . ."
Reik (1888-1969) was one of Sigmund Freud's first students and founded in 1948 one of the first psychoanalytic training centers, the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis in New York.
