Etching, circa 1645. 139x210 mm; 5 1/2x8 1/4 inches, thread margins. A superb, early and richly-inked impression of this very scarce landscape etching with the sulphur tinting in the sky strong, with the dark tone in the ground beneath the cottage, with all the fine lines distinct and with crisp plate edges, consitent with the earliest impressions of this subject.
