Etching and drypoint, circa 1658. 343x290 mm; 13 1/2x11 1/2 inches, thread margins. Biörklund's fifth state (of 6), before the reduction of the plate; Usticke's sixth state (of 11); White and Boon's fifth state (of 6). Large Auvergne watermark (Ash/Fletcher 39 F b, which they date to around 1742). Ex-collection Kennedy Galleries, New York, with their label on the frame back and stock number in pencil, verso. A superb, richly-inked impression, with abundant drypoint in the curtain folds upper left and right.
