Etching and drypoint, 1640. 151x137 mm; 6x5 1/2 inches, thread. Biörklund's first state (of 3); Usticke's first state (of 3); White and Boon's first state (of 3). Eagle with Basel Crozier watermark (Ash/Fletcher 16). A superb, richkly-inked, early impression with burr on the thumb of the right hand, on the mouth and nose and on the horizontal lines at the lower edge of the plate, consistent with the earliest impressions of this subject.
