Partial Strasburg Lily watermark (Ash/Fletcher 36, possibly G. c., which Ash/Fletcher date to Amsterdam, circa 1646, and cite on impressions of the same subject in the Cincinnati Art Museum and the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC). Ex-collection Charles Jacquin (Lugt supplement 1397a, verso). With thread margins or trimmed on the plate mark. A brilliant, richly-inked impression with velvety burr on the artist's tunic, on the spine and leaves of the book and in the upper right quadrant, with the landscape printing strongly and before the retouching of the face.
