Etching, circa 1632. 148x113 mm; 5 7/8x4 1/2 inches, thread margins. Usticke's first state (of 3), with the thumb printing clearly in the upper left corner and with little to no signs of wear, even in the most densely shaded areas. A superb, dark impression.
Though accepted by Bartsch and others, this print is rejected by some, including Biörklund. Bartsch 344.
