Etching, circa 1635. 97x68 mm; 4x2 3/4 inches, small margins. Usticke's first state (of 2), with the broken line in Christ's abdomen and with the long diagonal scratch below the signature. Ex-collection Adalbert Freiherr von Lanna (Lugt 2773, verso); Adam Gottlieb Thiermann (Lugt 2434, verso); and Kupferstichkabinett der Staatlichen Museen, Berlin (Lugt 1606, verso). A very good, early impression with the faintly-etched obelisk over the head of the standing man at the far right printing clearly, with warm plate tone and crisp plate edges.
