Etching, 1630. 104x79 mm; 4 1/8x3 1/8 inches. Biörklund's second state (of 2), after the reduction of the plate; Usticke's only state (e); White and Boon's second state (of 2). Ex-collection Edward Rudge (see Lugt supplement 900); and Albert E. McVitty (see Lugt supplement 1862c; his sale Parke-Bernet Galleries, New York, November 28-29, 1949, lot 116). With thread margins or trimmed on the plate mark. A superb, dark and early impression of this scarce print with all the fine details printing clearly and with burr on the left hand of the priest.
