Countermark with the letters P D B (Ash/Fletcher 26 a, which they date to circa 1640-50). Ex-collection Moriz König (Lugt 1588, verso). A superb, early impression of this very scarce etching, with the fine drypoint lines throughout the background and with the delicate horizontal lines on the lion's front right paw distinct and with touches of burr throughout.
