Etching and drypoint, circa 1640. 96x156 mm; 4x6 1/4 inches. Usticke's only state (l), without the "rainy sky" and the traces of sulphur tinting in the lower right background. Foolscap with a five-pointed collar watermark (Ash/Fletcher 19; they note similar watermarks on other Rembrandt landscape etchings from the 1640s). With thread margins three sides, trimmed inside the plate mark upper edge, with all of the subject preserved.
