Autograph Letter Signed, in full, to Joel Burdick, telling him of his plan to buy an island in the St. Laurence, inquiring about his last picnic [i.e. camping trip?], and joking that he will finish working on June first because he's "a Union man." 1 page, single 8vo sheet; usual fold, minor stain in the top left corner from prior mounting.
