RENÉ RAVO (1904-1998) 1 LITRE DE VIN. 1942.

During World War II in France, the Axis government was having such a hard time coming up with copper to be used for shell and ammunition casings that they made a scavenging deal with the French public. Ravo makes the offer by the collaborationist government of France - for every 200 grams of copper, a citizen would receive "immediately and free of charge" a liter of wine, advertised as palatably as possible by focusing on the grapes, vine leaves and bottle.
