RICHARD BERNSTEIN (1939-2002) DIVINE IN THE NEON WOMAN. 1978. 46 3/4x21 inches, 118x53 1/4 cm. Condition A. The Neon Woman, an "outrageous murder mystery," was a vehicle written for Divine. It ran for 84 performances in New York City in the Spring and Summer of 1978 and then went out to San Francisco. Richard Bernstein designed over 100 covers and illustrations for Andy Warhol's Interview magazine as well as album covers and a cover for Time magazine.
