Boston artist Richard Yarde is known for his bold, large watercolors whose imagery reflects memories of his youth. His paintings are found in many museum collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, the Studio Museum in Harlem, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC. Yarde is a Professor of Art at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
