A portion of the caption reads "Formerly no. 11, now no. 226 South Front Street. The residence of Samuel R. Fisher where he [deceased [sic] on Tuesday morning, Feb. 12th 1856. The house is remarkable from the "pent" roof over the front door, where the second or upper door appears in the picture. [His] counting house and storehouses were in the rear of this on Dock Street."<
