Additional Details

Warmly Inscribed and Signed with a drawing by Rivera to Justino Fernandez, art historian and critic of 20th-century Mexican art, on the half-title. In this depiction of the Cuauhtémoc tragedy, Rivera drew the main characters in pairs and in a style very similar to the pictographs of the pre-Hispanic codex. The ideas worked out in this volume were eventually translated and enlarged into the murals at the Palacio de Cortés in Cuernavaca (National Palace).
