Robert Bliss (1925--1981) worked in Newton, Massachusetts where his main subjects were young male models. Self-classifed as a "Magic Realist," Bliss studied art at Bowdoin College in Maine and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Avidly collected by Malcolm Forbes, his work was recognized by art magazines of the day and exhibited at Childs Gallery, Boston.
