The original illustration for the paperback cover of The Gay Dogs (Man from C.A.M.P. #7), by Don Holliday (a pseudonym used by Victor J. Banis, Lawrence Block, Hal Dresner, and others), published by Ember Library Books, San Diego, with a copy of the first edition.

Banis is considered the "godfather of modern popular gay fiction." The Man from C.A.M.P. was a series of 9 gay, pulp, parody novels written by Banis between 1966 and 1968. Based on The Man from U.N.C.L.E. series which was broadcast from 1964 until 1968.
