Among the second generation of Abstract Expressionists, Goodnough (1917-2010) consistently hovered under the radar with his own style of coloration and collage. Well known New York galleries such as Tibor de Nagy and André Emmerich represented Goodnough for most of his career and he was eventually given a one-man show at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo.
