Color pastels and black chalk on cream wove paper. 505x315 mm; 20x12 1/2 inches. Signed in pencil, lower left above the ground to the right of the dancer's right foot. With a preliminary study of the same dancer in pink chalk on the verso.
With a handwritten provenance note in ink, signed "Hayes" (presumably Margaret Calder Hayes) stating that this drawing was gifted from the artist to Alexander Stirling Calder and Nanette Calder in 1926.
