Le Baron Fantôme is neither a horror film nor a monster movie. It is a slightly supernatural, gothic love story for which Jean Cocteau wrote the dialogue and in which he played a small role. "The loveliest scene, an extravagantly romantic one, shows a dream shared by Anna and Herve, he carrying her across a misty "Wuthering Heights"-style landscape and she in a white gown with a long flowing veil. The ecstasy of the moment is unequaled by anything else here, but it is so extravagantly lovely that its radiance goes a long way" (Janet Maslin, New York Times, December 12, 1977). This is the Argentinean version. Beauty and the Beast p. 67.
