[18] pp. With text adapted from Federico Garcia Lorca's play The Butterfly's Evil Spell printed on three rectangular marbled paper sheets mounted to variously colored paper (one decorated). Illustrated throughout by Rockman, including an oil painting on hand-made paper tipped to leaf. Folio, 13 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches; 340 x 245 mm, original full olive morocco, with numerous pictorial onlays of variously colored morocco, a polished amethyst oval specimen inserted in hole cut through front cover; custom clamshell case. Unique copy, signed by Hammer in pencil. In the early 90s artist/publisher Jonathan Hammer invited ten artists to collaborate on creating unique books. One of them was New York-based Rockman who produced this series of drawings from text by Lorca.
