27 August 1968, to Rex Taylor: ". . . I am sending the portrait of Johnny Carson to you . . . . I would like to have it in your possession so that, when we go to the Johnny Carson show we will have it with us. . . ."
15 September, to Fritz Henning: ". . . I have picked out two pictures of the Prince and Princess of Monaco, and will make a charcoal drawing of them to be presented to them by the FAS school. . . ."

Rockwell was a co-founder of Famous Artists School in 1948, which offered correspondence courses in art and continues to do so today.
