ROGER BRODERS (1883-1953) TUNIS. 1920.
42x29 1/2 inches, 106 1/2x75 cm. Daude Frères, Paris.
Condition B+: restored losses and restoration at edges and in top right corner; repaired tears in margins, one affecting text; creases, abrasions and restoration in image. Japan.
One of Broder's first travel posters, and one of only two in which he included a location after his name. Most likely he was on a trip to Africa when he designed both this image, and another poster from the same year for Algiers. Two years later, in 1922, he began an official collaboration with Paris-Lyon-Méditerranée Railway. Broders p. 110, Perry / Broders p. 88.
