Unusual oversize writing manual of French round hand originally published in the 1750s, containing elegant specimens preceded by Roland's foreword in praise of writing and instructions for quill cutting and correct posture. The print publisher and dealer Jean-François Daumont ceased commercial activity around 1775; Jacques Esnault and Michel Rapilly were active from 1770, and Rapilly died in 1797.
