Condition B / B+: water stain along bottom edge; loss in lower left corner; restored losses, repaired tears and overpainting in margins and image. One in a "series of three designed by Ronald Lampitt in an innovative mosaic style using grouped rectangles in different colors . . . The designs were much admired. The Railway Gazette was particularly impressed: 'The richness of color and design obtained by the Romans in their tesselated pavements have inspired a new style of Great Western Railway poster . . .
