"We had a delightful visit at Mrs. Stanley's old place at Netherwood when I was at Hyde Park last. Mrs. Roosevelt and I took Princess Juliana and Miss Suckley with us. I had not seen the old house for many years and Mrs. Stanley and I did much talking about old times. She could even remember the ruins of our old place, 'Mount Hope', at Hyde Park. . . ."
On October 9, 1943, the Roosevelts picnicked in Hyde Park with Princess Juliana of the Netherlands and friends.
